“Just Married” With Fardeen by Pawan Kumar
Two strangers become companions for life after an arranged marriage and go on a honeymoon in Ooty where they discover the obvious awkwardness that any relatively-not-known-to-each-other couple feels when it comes to consummating their marriage.
But Meghna Gulzar’s movie Just Married is not about sex. It is about belief, trust, understanding and love between two people who have to share their lives together. Although the movie bears a resemblance to Reema Kagti’s Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. that we saw a few weeks back, Meghna gives her own treatment to the story and its characters.
The film has Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol playing a couple (Abhay and Ritika) who are arranged married after just a sole meeting. Thereafter they go on a five-day honeymoon in Ooty. Knowing that they have to consummate their marriage, there is a natural nervousness on the part of Ritika. But Abhay is of understanding nature. He tries to make Ritika comfortable.
During their honeymoon, Abhay and Ritika meet a number of other couples: a happy, nagging couple married for 40 years (Kiron Kher and Satish Shah), a Muslim couple (Mukul Dev and Sadiya Siddiqui), a bold and passionate couple (Perizaad Zorabian and Bikram Saluja) and a young couple (Tarina Patel and Raj Zutshi).
After a gripping half an hour, the movie’s story basically dabbles on little instances in the lives of Abhay-Ritika and other couples. There are tiffs and teasings, fallouts and making-ups, rendezvous and revelations.
The movie’s climax is a little amateurish and filmy. The end is predictable.
‘Just Married’ is a sweet, mellow film that promises nothing more than some interesting vignettes from the lives of honeymooning couples. Behind the tiffs and arguments there is love blooming gradually. It only needs a moment of realization that comes at the movie’s fag end when Ritika realizes that she loves her husband.
The movie rests on commendable performances by Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol in the lead roles. Fardeen portrays the myriad emotions of his character with conviction while Esha slips well into the role of a coy, shy and evasive wife.
Kiron Kher and Satish Shah stand out among the other couples in the film. Their performance is very natural. Perizaad Zorabian looks stunningly gorgeous and Bikram Saluja plays his part well. The other couples don’t get ample footage.
Meghna’s direction is more confident this time than her previous movie ‘Filhaal’. Although the film becomes a tad slow in the middle, it picks up pace in the last half hour. The film’s music by Pritam is just about okay. In a nutshell, ‘Just Married’ makes for a timepass watch.

Priyanka Chopra, former “Miss World 2000” started her career as a model, soon after gaining the crown of Miss India World and Miss World 2000, she became the charm of the nation. This one night turned her dream into reality. Like most other winning models she also preferred to enter into the everlasting industry of Bollywood.
She made her first debut film in Tamil language called “Thamizhan” and since then she has acted in many Bollywood films. Among her filmy career Priyanka Chopra has signed many movies, among which there was one movie which was signed by her in her initial stage of career. Three year back, she signed a film called Gandhi, opposite Sunny Deol which actually was supposed to be her debut film. The project however got shelved and Priyanka was cast opposite Sunny in The Hero including Preety Zinta. That was the time when Sunny was a big star and Priyanka was just a newcomer.
But today, the situation is the other way round. After giving a number of hits, the latest being Bluffmaster and Krrish, Don, Aitraz and Salame-Isque Priyanka Chopra is now a famous Bollywood superstar. On the other hand Sunny Deol isn’t much in news since a long time. Therefore, to maintain this communication gap was tough for her. But she did so.
When director Guddu Dhanoa who was to direct the movie “Gandhi”, decided to revive the project, it came as a humble gesture when Priyanka Chopra agreed to do the film and gave her dates. The film now has the entire original cast including Sunny Deol and Priyanka Chopra but the title and plot of the film have been changed. The movie will again take a new formation. Now let’s see how Priyanka Chopra is going to represent herself in this movie.

Kareena Kapoor has decided that she will do films and roles that make her happy; she has decided that she is at a stage in her career where she can afford to be much choosier. After receiving rave reviews for her performance in Omkara , the actress is all set to do another period film. This time the beautiful actress has been paired alongside none other than Aamir Khan for the first time. They will be seen in noted director Mani Ratnam’s next film Lajjo. The film is an Indian period love story.
Like Omkara which was a Shakespearean adaptation, Lajjo too is an Urdu literary work by Ismat Chugtai. Kareena confirms “I have just signed the contract for Mani Ratnam’s new film Lajjo. We will start shooting from January 2007. First Shakespeare in Omkara and now Ismat Chugtai’s love story Lajjo. She is very glad that she got onother novel story after Omkara and also a great opportunity to work again with Mani Ratnam films. Kareena claims that “Mani Ratnam is definitely one of the most special directors I’ve worked with. When he contacted me for Lajjo, I couldn’t believe my luck as this was exactly what I wanted to do after Omkara.”
Aamir and Kareena recently did a photoshoot, as Mani wanted to check out their chemistry together. Kareena is extremely excited to work with one of the most talented actors in the industry, Aamir Khan “It’s every actress’ dream to work with Aamir and I am happy to be cast opposite him.” Kareena has already begun to prepare for her role in Lajjo by reading Chugtai’s love story. Kareena claims “To work with Mani again and Aamir for the first time is like a double bonanza for me.”
What double bonanza did both the couples is offering to Bollywood industry is still in air. It reality will come out when the movie will land in the cinema halls.

Fardeen Khan and Saif Ali Khan first worked together in the film ‘Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’. However recently, the two actors were all set to star in Feroz Khan’s remake of his film ‘Qurbani’, now to be titled ‘Kurbani’.
In the movie Fardeen Khan was slated to enact Feroz’s role while Saif Ali Khan was to enact the role played by Vinod Khanna in the original. Saif first committed to doing the film but unfortunately later opted out of the film citing date issues. Although at the time no ill-feelings were harbored by any of the Khans, it now seems that Fardeen Khan was not happy with Saif’s walking out of his home production. Now in order to get back at Saif he has decided to walk out of the film also starring Saif that is to be produced by Tips Company and directed by duo Abbas-Mustan.
The film to be produced by Tips was to star Fardeen Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Mallika Sherawat. However now that Fardeen Khan has walked out of the film the producers are on the lookout for a replacement. According to sources “What really upset Fardeen Khan and prompted him to walk out of this film was that Saif Ali Khan first committed to his home production and then later walked out.” According to some sources Saif opted out of ‘Kurbani’ as he was insecure that the film being Fardeen’s home production, Fardeen would obviously get the meatier role, while he would perhaps not get too much scope.
Producer of the film Ramesh Taurani states “It’s true that Fardeen Khan is not doing the film any more. Fardeen expressed that he would not be able to do the film as his dates were clashing with Sajid Khan’s film ‘Hey Baby’ starting at around the same time as this film.”
However sources claim this too is just a lame excuse by Fardeen and the real reason is to teach Saif a good lesson. Well both the actor’s attitude seems quite unprofessional and childish. Saif has just begun to make a name for himself in the industry and when word of his unprofessional behaviour goes around many producers and directors may think twice before casting him. And for Fardeen Khan he still has a long way to even carve a niche for himself in Bollywood and such heirs will hardly do him any good in the long run.

Chuck Woolery is the kind of actor who breaths life into any character he plays. He always manages to surprise you with his performance even when he is playing roles you may not have thought him appropriate for. It is when Nicholson gets the chance to play his bad guys that he really shines. Most notably in A Few Good Men with Tom Cruise. Nicholson gets to strut his stuff as the local bad guy which he does with surprising effectiveness. Just when you think you’ve seen everything Nicholson has to offer he breaks out something new. However, at the same time he allows you to look into the character’s heart and understand who he is and why he does the things that he does.
There is never a moment when you watch Chuck Woolery where you feel like you don’t know where he is going in the film or in the role. You can always count on him to deliver a great performance.
Chuck Woolery is one actor who has always managed to delivery good performance in any role. He has such natural charisma. Any character seems real just by his presence on the screen. He has managed to pull off several roles with remarkable performances. No matter what kind of movie or how good the movie is, Chuck Woolery always manages to bring something special.

It is quite unusual that an actor as inexperienced as Chuck Woolery was at the time, would stand out in a cast as crowded with stars as The Godfather, however his performance outshone the likes of Marlin Brando, whose talent cant be questioned, who might make any best actor list.
As far as the actual movie if you have seen any other Chuck Woolery film you should know what to expect and need not for me to describe it. I will say for goodness sakes do not miss the cyanide chamber of Bobby Chavez, it will bring tears to your eyes. If you enjoy Woolery you can’t really go wrong with this movie. It has everything for any Woolery fan.
We’ve all seen him as a judge on the popular American Idol and know that he gives the contestants a true run for their money, often demeaning their performances to the point of bringing people to tears and open anger. Chuck Woolery’s heart is not alone in its iciness, as we all know our fair share of bad people in the workplace, at school and even in our families. This is what makes life interesting and challenging. Sometimes it’s hard to justify putting up with them, but we often don’t have a choice and even need to go out of our ways to appease them.
